My heart can take on any form:
A meadow for gazelles,
A cloister for monks,
For the idols, sacred ground,
Ka`ba for the circling pilgrim,
The tables of the Torah,
The scrolls of the Qur'an.
"My creed is Love;
Wherever its caravan turns along the way,
That is my belief,
-- Ibn Arabi, Andalusian Arab Sufi mystic and philosopher (1165-1240 CE), in his book, "Turjumān al-Ashwāq" (Interpreter of Desires)
Yossi is a midwife of words and hearts. He celebrates life in the Present Moment, for it, and it alone, is sacred. He sees the mystics of various traditions as his friends.
He likes waking folks up to their inner contemplative so that they can take action for justice and peace in a balanced way. Eosaidh is influenced by Buddhist, Hindu, Jewish, Sufi and nature mystics and dances with them all. He desires to be a mirror reflecting the Light of the Divine One back to those who look.
The Beloved, as he calls God, is both personal/not personal, Consciousness inhabiting and flowing in and among all sentient and non sentient beings.
Jesus lived on this earth as fully human being, also deeply aware of his full Divinity. I honor him, but I also possess Divinity and am one with the Beloved as are you. As Ram Dass says, "Everyone you meet is God in drag!"
Yossi is also a poet who also likes drumming, hiking, blogging, dancing, meditating, nature, and standing up for justice.
In 2012, at the age of 47, he completed his first marathon, 26.2 miles, at Chicago, IL. He is an INFP on the Meyers Briggs and a Nine with a One wing on the Enneagram. He is clearly a peacemaker who functions best from his gut. He finds taking himself too seriously detrimental to his spiritual health.
A graduate of the University of Notre Dame in English and Theology, he graduated from Loyola Chicago with a Masters of Divinity in the Summer of 2015. He strives to reach out to all wherever they find themselves spiritually. He is a chaplain resident at Rush University Medical Center.
Yossi is blessed to be 33% Scottish, 5% Welsh, about 20% Norman French, and 17% Scandinavian (overwhelmingly Norwegian), among others, and just discovered this all at the age of 49...
Two of Yossi's patron saints are Auntie Mame and Bugs Bunny.
Yossi's first volume of poetry, Refractions on a Laughing Mountain, has been published and is available on Amazon.
More than anything, he is grateful to the Beloved for all the blessings of this life.
